The projected building is a rectangular volume, stretched from east to west. The building has 7 overground and 2 underground floors. An absolute mark of 149.75 is taken for the zero mark of the building. The marks -2, -1, 1, 2 and 3 floors approximately correspond to the marks of the next shopping and entertainment center "Gagarinsky", with which the projected building is connected by an overhead crossing at the level of 2 and 3 floors.
Also, the buildings are connected in the underground part to organize the circulation of cars between the underground parking of the Gagarinsky shopping and entertainment center and the KDC. In the building, from the 1st floor to the roof, a multicolored space is organized - an atrium adjacent to the north wall. In the volume of the atrium are placed the main vertical communications - travolators, escalators, elevators. Along the atrium on the level of 2 and 3 floors is a gallery that connects with the help of travolators the lobby of the main entrance and the transition to the building of the SEC "Gagarinsky".
The main entrances of visitors are organized from the adjacent territory from the eastern facade and from the "Gagarinsky" shopping and entertainment center. Personnel access occurs from the side of loading zones near the southern wall of the facade. For communication between floors, travolators, escalators, elevators, staircases are used. Evacuation staircases are located along the perimeter of the building and connect all ground and underground floors. Also, staircases are used to access technical personnel on the roof.
The plot area of about 500 hectares proposed for the EXPO is located in the western part of the city on the picturesque shore of the Upper Iset pond, 3 km from the center of Ekaterinburg and close to the border that separates the European and Asian parts of Russia.
