From the beginning of the design, the architect had to create an atmosphere in which employees would not only work comfortably, but also would like to come back to.
Total office was designed by the principle of open space, which provides maximum employee interaction. In addition to its functionality, such planning strengthens team spirit. According to the specifics of their work, top managers have separate office rooms. These are arranged around the core of the building, while the working spaces «open space» spread around the glazed facade, which provides employees with the maximum amount of natural light.
The rest of the office is functionally divided into the traditional areas: meeting rooms, executive offices and recreation areas.
The shape of the reception desk was inspired by the famous Total red barrel. Red - one of the corporate colors of the company - appears as accents around the office space: in the reception area, as upholstered furniture and reception desk, in negotiation rooms, as red chairs and in the open space, as pin boards. The use of bright details in the interior lifts up the general mood.
Total pays a great attention to helping in saving the environment, so the choice of finishing for the new offices were not the usual, but instead artificially synthesised materials.
From the very beginning the office design provided for future reshaping of the office area, facilitating change in size and in the number of rooms. A special ceiling was selected to be connected with partition fixes.
The well-known real estate consulting company Cushman & Wakefield Stiles & Riabokobylko sought to unite all of its departments, scattered around Moscow, in a single space while moving into a new office.
