STOLP

The contemporary office unites people across generations and disciplines. To forge a workspace that is both productive and inspiring, ABD architects partnered with Snug.project to create STOLP—a transformable collaboration table (the name plays in the Russian stol, or “table”, and literally means “pillar” or “mainstay”).
Our existence is inseparable from the natural world. Denis Yakubov, Chief Architect at ABD’s architecture department, conceived the central element as a symbol of humanity’s anchor in nature itself. Human time revolves around nature’s constance. While humanity accelerates, advancing technology, shaping the built environment, nature remains permanent: the immovable axis around which we turn.
STOLP comprises a fixed base and three rotating surfaces — hands on a clock:
- THE HOUR. Work surface at 750mm with integrated power points, for sustained focus.
- THE MINUTE. Multi-use surface at 900mm. Power points available.
- THE SECOND. High surface at 1050mm for brief encounters, drinks receptions, bar service, or catering.
Construction: steel internal frame, MDF outer body with veneer finish and laminate worktops. Each surface features integrated lighting. The central column houses an illuminated planter with live greenery. Full electrification and lighting controls throughout.
