Project Overview
Kept is one of Russia’s leading audit and consulting firms; from 1990 to 2022 it operated under the KPMG brand. Following the exit from the international network and rebranding, the company embarked on creating a new headquarters — a true “home” for Kept that embodies the updated brand identity, character, and current requirements: hybrid work, advanced technology, and adaptability for long-term relevance.
The main trigger for relocation was the end of the lease in Moscow City (Tower on the Embankment), where Kept had been one of the first tenants since 2007. The decision was prepared over 1.5 years: various options were evaluated, including staying in City. The final choice — Alcon III business center — won on accessibility, infrastructure, and financial terms
The new office had to foster constructive human connections, a shared sense of belonging, significance, and pride in the Kept brand. Core narrative: this is an inspiring, attractive “home” office for employees — focused on work, interaction, and free communication. People are the company’s main asset and core value.
Spatial Organization
The priority was to create conditions where every employee — regardless of age, role, task, or project — can work comfortably, flexibly, and efficiently. No fixed desks: staff choose zones daily. No assignment to departments or teams — each person shapes their day.
Whether collaborative project discussion, deep-focus quiet work, hybrid meeting, short private call, team training, or teambuilding — every scenario has a dedicated space. All areas are bookable online via the Multispace app.
A full sixth floor is dedicated to the communication hub: over a dozen client meeting rooms, transformable conference halls, training auditoriums with state-of-the-art multimedia.
Second floor features a 200-seat amphitheater hall with large screen for business events, informal gatherings, and film screenings; plus fully equipped gym, group fitness studio, changing rooms, and showers.
Special mention: media recording room designed and fitted by acoustics specialists — echo-free, crystal-clear sound for diverse content creation. Copy center has regulated ultra-bright lighting (several times brighter than standard) for efficient document and print work.
Hybrid mode is central: ~2,600 Moscow employees, office utilization ratio 1:4 (one workstation per four people). Over 700 bookable workstations (including project and meeting rooms), plus non-bookable flexible spots. Occupancy reaches 90–95%. High-quality design, comfort, and infrastructure doubled office attendance compared to the previous location.
Design Concept
Long-term investment required timeless solutions. Core palette: neutral warm tones for harmony and comfort, with purple accents reinforcing brand identity.
Multi-layered biophilic design strategy supports emotional, mental, and physical well-being: natural textures and materials, soft indirect lighting, universal daylight access, thoughtful acoustics, abundant greenery — all reduce stress, improve mood, and connect people to nature.
Signature client meeting room: “room within a room” concept. Metal frame supports wooden portal structure (walls flowing into ceiling) integrating all engineering, lighting, and comms. Centerpiece — large round segmented glass-top table with built-in hybrid tech and camera. Custom paper ceiling with integrated point lights and LED strips creates a truly distinctive, wow-effect space.
Technologies & Materials
Smart lockers controlled via touchscreens or Multispace mobile app (remote access included). Office entry via mobile pass (MiFare card support). Multispace app handles bookings, guest invitations, and integrates with parking license-plate recognition.
Acoustic comfort prioritized throughout:
- Felt wall and ceiling panels reduce reverberation.
- Acoustic ceiling panels control sound propagation.
- Soft textiles (curtains, sofas, poufs) add coziness and absorption.
Lighting: carefully planned mix of ceiling fixtures for even, sufficient task light + decorative accents for pleasant, productive atmosphere.
Project Statements
Dmitry Koshak, Chief Architect, ABD architects
“Every time I think nothing new can be said in commercial design, reality proves me wrong. The Kept project is perfect proof: harmonious, sophisticated, intelligent, and inevitably vibrant!”
Liya Dzhavadova, Director and Project Lead, Kept
“The new Kept home exceeded expectations — it fundamentally changed our approach to work. Flexible zoning, rich variety of spaces and multimedia, plus a smart office system make staying here maximally comfortable and enable teams to work efficiently and with pleasure. We see how a high-quality, soulful, and thoughtful office can transform employees’ perception of ‘workplace’ and motivate them to come more often and gladly. Everything planned in terms of quality, timeline, and budget was fully delivered thanks to professional, cohesive teamwork.”
